The mandate of this project was to bring prominence to the original low-profile and understated entrance. A clock tower/light-box is the key new element introduced to the new entrance. It pays respect and tribulations to Sir Sandford Fleming – the inventor of the idea of time zones. The clock tower also anchors the new and expanded entrance lobby to create a new point of reference for the main entrance to the College. This also brings a new sense of identity and belonging to the students and faculty. The clock tower/light-box is equipped with programmable high-efficiency LED light to create colourful moods to reflect each season and special occasions.
